On November 6, 2016, China Sihong Hongze Lake Wetland Cup International Big Round Pond Leisure Fishing Competition was held at Sihong Hongze Lake Wetland International Fishing Center (International Big Round Pond), which was sponsored by China Recreational Angling Association, Jiangsu Hongze Lake Fisheries Association, Sihong Hongze Lake International Recreational Angling Center and Sihong Hongze Lake Wetland International Big Round Pond Competition Organizing Committee, as well as organized by Sihong Jinshui Fishing Industrial Development Co., Ltd.. With a total of 1,536 persons who competed for fishing at the same time, place and pond, this set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the most number of persons who competed for fishing at the same time, place and pond in the world.
